Included are the best programs we know of for spyware/adware removal, and for Virus protection. These programs have all been tested and are spyware/virus free (when using the links below). AVG is a free, powerful, easy to use Anti Virus program. In our experience it even works better than programs you have to pay for such as Norton's and McAffee! version info: [AVG 8.0.135 - 7.2.08]

Ad-Aware is a great program for the removal of spyware. We recommend running this program at least once a week. The best part about this program is that it is free! version info: [Ad-Aware 2008 7.1.0.10 - 6.5.08]

Spybot is another awesome free spyware removal program. Both Spybot and Ad-Aware are needed for the best results. This program should also be run once a week version info: [Spybot-Search & Destroy 1.6.0.30 - 7.8.08]

Firefox is a free alternate web browser to Internet Explorer and includes great features such as built in pop-up blocking! It also stops many spyware infections cold.

OpenOffice is a free productivity suite that includes a word processor, spreadsheet application, presentation program, and more! Plus it is fully compatible with Microsoft Office!

Java is a free plug in for your web browser that allows you to play online games, chat with people around the world, calculate your mortgage interest, view images in 3D & more!

Flash is another free plug in for your web browser that is needed to view many online multimedia applications and games. Both Java and Flash should be installed on your PC.

Checking Windows for updates is key to keeping your computer running at it's best and keeping it safe. Check daily! Note: you must be using Internet Explorer to check for updates.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program that allows you to open & view .pdf files which is a common format used for documents on the internet, including our guides listed below.
